Artist, professor, researcher and philosopher working on the intersections of art, science and technology
Pedro Veneroso (1987) is a bachelor of Visual Arts (UFMG, 2011), master with distinction in Literary Studies (UFMG, 2016) and is pursuing a PhD in Arts (UFMG). He researches the intersections between art, science and technology.
He has exhibited on several national and international venues, among which Currents New Media 2017, at El Museo Cultural de Santa Fe, USA | FILE 2016 and 2017, at Centro Cultural FIESP in São Paulo, Brazil | Novas aquisições 2010/2012, at MAM in Rio de Janeiro, Brazil (2012) | SIANA Nanchang, at Jiangxi Museum, China (2009).
He was awarded 1st place at the Technological Connections Festival, in São Paulo (2008), and at the 4th Filme em Minas, in Belo Horizonte (2009); was nominated for the 8th Sergio Motta Award, in São Paulo (2009); was a finalist of 7th Transitio_MX Contest, in Mexico (2017), and a semifinalist of the 12th Arte Laguna Prize, in Italy (2018).
He currently teaches at the Digital Arts Course of the Federal University of Minas Gerais (UFMG).
