AMA. Hip hop for all. Young and old can still enjoy my music.

I am a rapper, songwriter and performer based in South Africa. I even do theme base performances. I enjoy sharing a stage with different artists from all genres including poetry, comedy and dance. I'm into dram as well. I write my own songs and it inspires both the young and old. You will enjoy my music as long as you understand the language used. I write in English ,Afrikaans, Zulu and sotho .It's always a blessing when I'm on stage. No one believe that I'm shy.

How would you describe the rap scene in your local area? How do you see yourself making your mark in the society?
May 13, 3:15PM EDT0

The rap scene here is very much alive. Just not many persistent rappers. They are in the game for the fame.

I make my mark by leaving a memory in any event I attend and perform at.

May 13, 3:54PM EDT0
Which non-musical part of the festival have you enjoyed watching over the years?

With the music industry tanking and sales falling, how do you currently make money as an independent hip-hop artist?
May 12, 6:23AM EDT0

Touring  and physical performances. I just book a venue and mix it with other things and invite people to come. Sometimes I team up with businesses and do promotion for them

May 13, 1:28AM EDT0
If you hadn't chosen Hip Hop, what would your alternate field have been?
May 12, 1:09AM EDT0

A dj or a rock star. I love rock as well

May 13, 1:29AM EDT0
What business lessons have you learnt from the music industry so far?
May 11, 9:59PM EDT0

Never sell yourself short unless you are really down and out. Never mix business with pleasure. Be careful of the so called friends

May 12, 12:50AM EDT0
Do you ever find yourself unable to express your creativity to the fullest? What kinds of things inhibit you?
May 11, 8:54PM EDT0

Yes I do. Sometimes it's when I'm writing some times it's when recording. I think it depends on the mood and maybe the surroundings. For instance if I wanted to record a love song but get angry, I wait for a better day

May 12, 12:52AM EDT0
What’s next for you? Have you any plans for the future you care to share?
May 11, 8:05PM EDT0

Well, I want to host a biggest show where a portion of the proceeds goes to needy school children. Get them shoes, socks, school bags and maybe put aside some money to pay for those who are good in their books

May 12, 12:55AM EDT0
If you had the power to change one thing about the hip-hop industry to help independent artists – what would it be?
May 11, 5:12PM EDT0

I'd definitely have radio stations to give the guys air play and promotions.

May 12, 12:57AM EDT0
As an independent hip-hop artist grinding it out, what sort of promotion and marketing are you doing to stand out from the rest?
May 11, 3:32PM EDT0

Online promotion through links, physical performance wherever there is a show. And I also started going to clubs and play for free while selling cds

May 12, 1:00AM EDT0
Do you remember the moment you wanted to be a hip-hop artist?
May 11, 2:26PM EDT0

Yeah. I started out as a poet  but ended up rapping. Creativity

May 11, 3:55PM EDT0
What do you love about hip-hop music? What still surprises you about hip-hop?
May 11, 12:15PM EDT0

Telling a 100 year story in just 5 minutes. It's all about painting a bigger brighter picture
